Welcome to CatholicCare

CatholicCare is a trusted social services agency supporting people across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland. For more than 40 years, we have walked alongside families and individuals through life’s challenges, offering compassionate, professional support when it’s needed most.

Our services include counselling for individuals, couples, and families; mediation and family dispute resolution to help parents and families navigate separation support and assistance for migrants and refugees as they settle into a new life in Australia.

While our office is in Toowoomba, our services are accessible to families right across rural and remote South West Queensland.

At the heart of all we do are the values of hope, compassion, integrity, justice, and respect. No matter your background or circumstances, CatholicCare is here to help you and your family find pathways to healing, resilience, and a stronger future.

About CatholicCare

We’re here for you.

We recognise that diversity and inclusion are essential to the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.

CatholicCare embraces the richness of diversity in Australian life and welcomes families and individuals from all faiths and backgrounds to engage with our programs and supports. No matter where you were born, how you identify, or who you love – you and your family are welcome here.

Child Safe Statement of Commitment

At CatholicCare, the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person is at the heart of what we do. We welcome children, young people and their families with respect, kindness and understanding, and we work together to create an environment where everyone feels heard, valued and safe.

We are committed to providing high quality, compassionate support that protects children from harm and upholds their dignity. This means our staff listen carefully, act with integrity, and make decisions based on what is truly in the best interests of each child and young person.

At CatholicCare, we manage risk and safeguarding issues in accordance with our internal policies and the following external resources:

  • The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

  • The National Catholic Safeguarding Standards

As part of keeping children safe, all CatholicCare employees and volunteers are legally and ethically required to report any concerns about a child’s safety to the appropriate authorities. We do this because every child deserves to be safe, supported and cared for, and because protecting children, young people and the communities they live in is a shared responsibility.
