One way we ensure the best people are attracted to and retained in the sector is to offer opportunities for people studying Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health and Social Services qualifications to get hands-on experience under the supervision of some of the best practitioners in Southwest Queensland.
CatholicCare will provide interesting and challenging learning opportunities for students through a structured Student Placement program.
Limited placements may be offered in the following areas:
Placements are conditional on a number of factors including placement vacancies at a given time, changing operational demands on the agency and candidates’ suitability. CatholicCare receives many applications for student placements each year and competition for places is strong. Each candidate must provide a resume and attend an interview, as part of the application process, before being considered for a placement. Student placements will need to be verified with your tertiary institution (usually TAFE, University or registered training organisation).
To improve your chances of success, plan ahead. Submit your resume early and provide as much supporting information from your tertiary institution as possible. Applications will be considered and placements offered at CatholicCare’s sole discretion.
